Livia was painting watercolours on a flight of steps by the sea when Mauro, inking a drawing two steps higher up, asked to borrow a little blue: his had dried out. He never gave it back.
Since then we have filled travel sketchbooks together: he draws the lines, she adds the colour. There is one page left to paint, and we would love to paint it with you, above the Sicilian sea.

Almond granita, house wine and a mandolin trio.

Everything you need to arrive unhurried and enjoy the evening.
Shuttle buses run from Catania airport and from Taormina up to the villa: departures at 17:30 and 18:00, returning from midnight. Sample times.
Small hotels and guesthouses with a view in Taormina, fifteen minutes from the villa. On a real website, our list with booking codes would go here.
Elegant and light: linen, silk and pale colours. The gardens are gravel and stone, so block heels are best.
The ceremony is outdoors, facing the setting sun: bring sunglasses and a wrap for later. There are stone steps between the terraces; if you need it, a little car will take you up.
