Lola and Iván would love you to join them for their wedding, one November evening, at a grand palm-court hotel overlooking the Atlantic.

How it all began

Our story

We met at a New Year’s Eve ball in an old hotel by the harbour. Lola was playing piano with the band; Iván came over to request a song that wasn’t on the list. She played it anyway, by ear, and he stayed until the very last song.

Seven winters later we’re returning to a room of crystal chandeliers, with palms in the garden and the ocean beyond the tall windows, this time to get married. We want it to be a true gala, with every one of you there.

The evening

  1. Ceremony in the palm garden

    Among palms and ancient dragon trees, with the last of the light over the valley.

  2. Drinks on the terrace

    Island wine, oysters and a timple with strings, looking out over the Atlantic.

  3. Gala dinner in the chandelier room

    Tables dressed in pearl and crystal beneath the glowing chandeliers.

  4. Dancing

    A waltz to open, then the band, until the very last song.

    A coach will leave the north airport at 16:30 and another Santa Cruz at 17:00, returning at 1:30 and 3:30. Sample times.

  • Where to stay

    We’ve held rooms at the hotel itself and at two guesthouses nearby. On a real website, the list and booking codes would go here.

  • November weather

    Mild nights, around 18 °C, with a sea breeze. A wrap or a light jacket for the garden will be plenty.
