The lake, seven summers later

Chapter one

Our story

We met on the eight o’clock boat across the lake, one misty morning. Federico was carrying peonies for his grandmother; Aurora, an open book she wasn’t really reading. Halfway across, the wind stole the ribbon from her hair and he caught it in mid-air.

Seven summers later, that silk ribbon is still tied to our front-door key. We’re going back to the lake where it all began to tie another bow, ours, surrounded by the people we love most.

The day

One June evening, from the terrace to the last dance.

    Facing the lake, among white roses and voile curtains.

    Spritz, a string quartet and golden light on the water.

  3. Dinner under the wisteria

    Long tables in the garden, candlelight and the lake beyond.

  4. Dancing

    In the hall of mirrors, until the last boat sets off.

Good to know

Everything you need to arrive unhurried and enjoy the lake.

  • The boat

    A wooden launch will take you from the village pier to the villa: departures at 17:00, 17:20 and 17:40, returning every half hour from midnight. Sample times.

  • Where to stay

    Small hotels and guesthouses by the water, a few minutes from the pier. On a real website, our list with booking codes would go here.

  • Dress code

    Summer elegant; light colours are welcome. The terraces are stone, so block heels are best. It gets cooler by the water at sunset.

  • Gifts

    Your presence is the loveliest gift. This demo contains no bank details.
