IIOur story

How it all began

We met halfway along the Dry Stone Route, on a scorching day in May: Joan had run out of water and Paula happened to be carrying two flasks. We shared the shade of an olive tree, the rest of the trail and, without knowing it yet, everything that came after.

We’ve climbed a lot of hills together since. Now we’re going back to the mountains to marry where it all started: among olive trees that were already old when our grandparents were born, in golden September light, with the people we love most around us.

Back to the mountains where it all began.
