AMPERSAND is the trading name under which the owner, as a natural person, provides design services for wedding websites, digital invitations, save the dates, monograms and digital stationery. There is no company behind the brand: whenever these texts refer to “the studio”, “we”, “us” or “AMPERSAND”, they mean the owner.
You can write to us at hello@ampersandweb.com: we always reply in writing. The activity does not require prior administrative authorisation and is not a regulated profession.
Purpose and acceptance
This notice governs access to and use of the website, including its pages, the design demos, the client area and any other content published under the domain www.ampersandweb.com. By browsing the website you accept this notice in the version published at the time.
Contracting our services is also governed by the terms and conditions; the processing of personal data, by the privacy policy and the cookie policy; and the welcome promotion, by its promotion terms.
Access to the website is free of charge. Some areas, such as the client area, require login details that we provide only to clients.
Terms of use
You agree to use the website lawfully, in good faith and in accordance with this notice. In particular, you may not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the client area, the studio dashboard, the server or other people’s data;
- introduce viruses or any other harmful code, or do anything that could overload, damage or disable the website;
- extract its content in bulk or by automated means (for example, using bots or “scraping”);
- use the forms to send false information, other people’s data without their permission or unsolicited advertising;
- impersonate anyone else or use the website for purposes contrary to the law or to the rights of others.
Your client area login details (email and order code) are personal: keep them safe and let us know if you think someone else has them. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms.
Demos and sample content
The demos of each design, their sample save the dates and the demonstrations of the client area and the studio dashboard are examples. The couples, names, dates, venues, celebrations, guests and messages shown in them are fictional; any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental. Where a real town or landscape is mentioned, it is only there to set the scene and implies no connection with any establishment.
Many of the images in the demos are illustrations or images created by the studio (drawn in code or produced with digital tools), not photographs of real weddings.
The demos don’t send anything: whatever you type into them (for example, a test RSVP) stays in your browser or is discarded immediately (see the cookie policy). What each package includes is what is described on the packages page and in the terms and conditions, not what you see in a particular demo.
Intellectual and industrial property
All the content of the website — texts, illustrations, drawings, catalogue designs, monograms, animations, photographs and images, original music and sounds, source code, structure and look and feel — as well as the AMPERSAND name and logo, belong to the owner or are used under licence, and are protected by the consolidated text of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act (Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996) and by Spanish Trade Marks Act 17/2001.
You may view, print or save them for your own personal, private use (for example, to compare designs). Without the owner’s written permission you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate, transform or make them available to third parties; in particular, you may not copy the designs, illustrations or code to create other websites, invitations or stationery, or use them for commercial purposes.
Some elements belong to third parties and are used in accordance with their licence: for example, the Bodoni Moda, Cormorant Garamond and Pinyon Script typefaces (SIL Open Font License 1.1). The music in the demos is either original or properly licensed.
The rights to what we design for each couple are set out in the terms and conditions.
If you believe that any content on the website infringes your rights, write to us at hello@ampersandweb.com telling us which content and why: we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it without delay.
Links
The website contains links to third-party sites (for example, Instagram, Google Maps for “getting there” directions, Stripe or the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD)) for information purposes. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their policies; a link does not imply any association. If we become actually aware that a linked site contains unlawful content, we will remove the link (Article 17 of the LSSI-CE).
You may link to our website provided that the link opens the page in its own window (without frames), does not suggest a relationship that does not exist and is not placed on sites with unlawful content. We may ask for any link that does not meet these conditions to be removed.
Liability
We take care to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors. The terms and price that bind you are those shown in the order summary at the time you place your order or those we confirm to you in writing.
We do our best to keep the website available at all times, although there may be interruptions for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We apply reasonable security measures, but we cannot guarantee the complete absence of viruses or other harmful elements introduced by third parties.
Each person is responsible for the content they send us (messages, photos, texts) and for their use of the website. Nothing in this notice limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular towards consumers.
Privacy and cookies
How we process your personal data and what we store in your browser is explained in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. You can change your cookie preferences at any time from the cookie policy.
Governing law and jurisdiction
This notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute concerning the use of the website shall be subject to the courts and tribunals of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, unless you are a consumer: in that case, the courts of your place of residence shall have jurisdiction, in accordance with the Spanish Civil Procedure Act (Ley de Enjuiciamiento Civil) and Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, and you will retain the protection afforded to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually reside.

We may update this notice to reflect changes to the website or to the law. The version and the date of the last update are always shown at the top; each version applies from the date of its publication.
